From: Alan Kaplan Date: 9/01/2007 8:29 PDT I live in El Cerrito, California, just opposite the Golden Gate in the San Francisco Bay Area. I went outside at 3 am PDT and almost immediately saw one meteor. I stayed out till 5:16 am PDT and saw a total of 24 meteors for a rate of about 12 per hour or 1 every 5 minutes. There was a burst of about 7 in a 20 minute period around the predicted peak time of 4:33 am PDT. I finished with a short view of Space Station Alpha off to the ENE for about 5 seconds, at 5:15 am. Sky conditions were cloudless, with the bright waning gibbous moon blocked by the overhang of my roofline. I hope you had good viewing. Alan Kaplan
