From: Taylor Story Date: 9/01/2007 21:01 PDT Began observations from Pine Mountain Observatory, Bend, Oregon around 4:30 a.m. PDT approx. 5 in the hour looking east toward Orion and northeast to Capella. Naked eye visuals. Moonglow hampered view as did clouds. Prominent ones traveled from north to south through the sword of Orion parallel to earth; another later than 4:30 a.m. traveled more in a straight down motion from Capella area. Another a little later in the east south east "under" the moon. Two more in diverse radii from the general area of Capella--all seen before 5:15 a.m. Only white light observed. Times are all approximate. No official records kept. This is the collabrative memory of two cousins. E McCallum Gresham Oregon
